Dave Portnoy Is Heartbroken Announcing The Tragic Death Of Beloved Barstool Sports Employee At 28-Years-Old
Dave Portnoy, the CEO of Barstool Sports, had some heartbreaking news to deliver about Iga Obrycka.
The 28-year-old tragically passed away from unknown causes.
At Barstool Nashville, she served as the general manager.
Portnoy expressed his grief on X after the Barstool Sports Nashville host passed away earlier this week.
“More sad news in Barstool Family. We suddenly lost Iga Obrycka this week,” Portnoy wrote on X.
“Iga basically ran our Bar group for us. If you ever went to Barstool Nashville you probably saw her there. I would have hired her for any position she wanted at our company because she was that smart and driven. Just incredibly sad news and another cruel reminder not to take a minute for granted. RIP Iga
Obrycka was born in Poland, and her family migrated to the United States. She moved to Nashville in 2020 after growing up in New York City.
She spent over nine years managing the venues and events for the Tao Group Hospitality when she was in New York City.
Once she got to Music city, Obrycka initially worked as the reservation manager for Twelve Thirty Club before becoming their membership director.
Iga Obrycka Had A Solid Following As General manager of Barstool Nashville
Barstool Sports mourns the untimely death of one of its vibrant employees, Iga Obrycka.
Despite not being out in the open like most employees, she still had a nice following online.
Her Instagram account had as many as 6,450 followers, and she had 13 posts before her untimely passing.
It’s unclear what caused Obrycka’s death in Nashville, Tennessee.
