Johnny Manziel’s mother, Michelle Manziel, has been arrested, according to TMZ Sports.
The mother of the former Texas A&M and NFL quarterback reportedly fell afoul of the law over the weekend, having gotten caught driving while intoxicated in Kerrville, Texas, around 65 miles away from San Antonio, on Saturday night.
TMZ notes that Michelle was being held on $7,500 bail, which they believe has been paid, though the police would not confirm anything.
“Michelle was being held on $7,500 bail … though it appears that’s been paid and she’s been released from custody. We’ve reached out to local authorities for more information … so far, no word back,” the outlet shared.
The Manziel family has been living in Kerrville for some time. Johnny attended Tivy High School in the town before playing for the Aggies.

The former Heisman isn’t having the best start to the year. He recently went through a breakup with his girlfriend, Josie Canseco, the daughter of former MLB star Jose Canseco, after around a year of them being together.
The former QB, who played 14 games for the Cleveland Browns, has had his own issues with substance abuse and confessed to using Oxycontin and cocaine every day after the 2015 NFL season, which caused him to lose around 40 pounds in just a few months.
Manziel also admitted having tried to take his own life but is now sober.
TMZ did not hear back from Michelle after reaching out to her.
