A shocking revelation has emerged suggesting that a 3,000-year-old Egyptian statue and a centuries-old painting bear an eerie resemblance to the late Michael Jackson, sparking wild speculation about time travel.
The discovery was highlighted by the YouTube channel Fact5, which pointed to a mysterious 1600s painting, Portrait of a Young Man by Barent Fabritius, displayed at the Städelsches Kunstinstitut in Frankfurt, Germany. The artwork, painted centuries ago, seems to feature a face strikingly similar to Jackson’s.
What makes the claim even more bizarre, according to the channel, is a 3,000-year-old Egyptian statue housed at The Field Museum in Chicago, which also appears to depict the King of Pop.
The narrator of the video mused: “Ever heard the saying, ‘Good painting is like good cooking—it can be tasted but not explained’? Well, can you explain the uncanny resemblance between Michael Jackson and this anonymous painting?”
The narrator continued, suggesting that the statue also shares similarities with Michael Jackson, jokingly claiming, “It looks like Michael has done some time traveling throughout history.”
Fact5 also proposes that Jackson may have journeyed through time to various periods, with the ancient Egyptians and the artist immortalizing him in their work. This theory also connects other celebrities, like Nicolas Cage and John Travolta, who have supposedly appeared in historical artwork as doppelgangers.
Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, just as he was preparing for a comeback tour, left the world in shock. Although strange rumors about Jackson’s supposed survival have circulated—after a selfie with his daughter Paris—these new time travel claims have left people both amused and bewildered.
The theory has prompted a range of reactions, with some calling the comparison “spooky” and others questioning why the statue was said to resemble a woman. Some skeptics dismissed the idea of time travel as impossible, while Fact5 clarified in the comments, “Please note that the title is just for fun, and doesn’t mean time travel is actually possible.”
