LeBron James Drops Furious F-Bomb On Reporter After Learning Of Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis Blockbuster Trade
LeBron James dropped an F-Bomb as he called a reporter out for what he’s suggested is a fake story in the wake of the Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks did business on Saturday night as it was announced after midnight that the aforementioned players were switching teams.
The Mavs are also getting Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick in the deal, while the Lakers will receive Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris alongside Luka.
The Utah Jazz had some involvement in the trade and are acquiring Jalen Hood-Chifino, a 2025 second-round pick from the Clippers and a 2025 second-round pick from the Mavs.
People thought Shams Charania had been hacked after he broke the news, but speculation over what may have led to the trade began coming from various corners once the realization set in.
LeBron James Called Cap
CBS reporter Bill Reiter was among those who discussed the trade on television after it was announced, suggesting that LeBron was frustrated with AD.
I’m gonna tell you something that was true a year ago but I think it is pertinent now,” he said. “Remember I talked to I think you on CBS Sports HQ last year at the trade deadline and Lakers fans got very angry. But at the time, there was talk within the Lakers organization that LeBron James had grown a little frustrated with Anthony Davis. It wasn’t that necessarily AD was going to be traded, we obviously didn’t report that on CBS Sports, it was just ‘hey this is something to keep an eye on, LeBron is frustrated with AD and he doesn’t think that it’s working.’ And that’s because LeBron has very, very high expectations.
“And you fast-forward a year later, obviously that reporting, really that information from Lakers sources, was accurate. This was probably a slow blow and it’s always hard to know with LeBron James. I’ve covered the guy, we’ve all watched him for years — amazing player, amazing player. He can be a little inconsistent sometimes. He can be, some would say, a little moody. This is something I had heard about and we talked about a year ago. You never know if it’s just LeBron having a bad month with AD. But obviously LeBron had made the consideration because you’re right, this trade does not happen without his absolute blessing and approval.”
LeBron straight-up called Reiter a liar, but in more colorful terms.
“You a fkn lie!!! 🤥🤡,” he wrote in a tweet.
Other reports noted that LeBron James had no idea there was a trade in the works and was at dinner when he found out about it.
It’s also understood that the NBA’s all-time highest scorer had been wanting to play with Luka Doncic for some time and has finally gotten his wish.
