Expert issues important health warning after Cardi B shocks fans with NSFW photo of new intimate piercing

The rapper’s new body piercing has raised some eyebrows

A tattooist and body piercing expert has spoken out about Cardi B’s shock new piercing, issuing a warning to anyone who wants to follow in her footsteps.

The ‘WAP’ singer has many piercings and tattoos, but her newest piece has left people pretty shocked.

Where could such a shocking piercing be placed, I hear you ask? No, it’s not where you think — you’re not far off, though.

Cardi’s new piercing is on her ‘butt crack’, as she proudly announced on Twitter on Monday (January 27).

Someone on the social media platform then urged her to shared a snap her new NSFW piercing, and Cardi isn’t one to let her fans down.

In the picture, the rapper showed off two (presumably diamond) studs vertically placed on the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker’s intergluteal cleft; AKA the groove between your butt cheeks.

After debuting the photo, people were quick to share their surprise.

One person asked: “How is it even physically possible?!”

“I wasn’t even aware this was possible,” echoed someone else, as a third added: “Idk how I got here but I’m horrified.”

“There is NO WAY omg,” another astonished Twitter user wrote.

But Cardi is somewhat a veteran when it comes to piercings, with the mom-of-three having had her throat, eyebrows, lip, hips, face, and belly button pierced over the years.

Brian Keith Thompson has now spoken out after the rapper’s latest uncomfortable-looking body modification.

Thompson is well-known celebrity tattooist and body piercer and, while he’s done some of Cardi’s previous body work, he didn’t do her newest piece.

He admitted that while her new piercing looks ‘cool’, he warned others against getting it done themselves.

Speaking to TMZ, Thompson said that microdermals (small pieces of jewelry that are inserted into the skin) take a long time to heal and can scar really badly – and I can’t imagine a butt crack scar is anything anyone really wants.

In this case, such a piercing is at high risk of infection as well because of its placement.

Thompson went on to say of the X-rated modification: “Once you do something like that, you own it. So, all the problems that come in, you’ve got to own those too.”

Cardi’s latest piercing comes just a few months after she welcomed her third child with estranged husband Offset.

The two music stars were already parents to daughter Kulture, six, and son Wave, three, and welcomed another daughter in September 2024.

The tot’s moniker is yet to be officially revealed, but fans have speculated that she’s called Blossom or Bloom.
