An eight-year-old boy rescued a child from a car, which made him late for class and earned him a reprimand – but something unexpected soon happened

An eight-year-old boy was running down the street, in a hurry to get to school. He was late for math class and was already imagining how the teacher, with her stern face, would scold him again — whether for being late or for an unclear answer. He couldn’t stand these moments of humiliation. And today, to top it off, the elevator was broken, which had delayed it even more.

“She’s going to scream again… She’ll still say I’m lazy… He thought as he crossed the street at full speed.

Suddenly, his eyes fell on a gray car parked on the side of the sidewalk. In the passenger seat was a little boy, about the same age as his brother. The child was crying, banging the window with his fists and calling for help in a hoarse voice. His cheeks were red and he was breathing hard. It was obviously very hot in the car. No adult was in sight.

The boy froze. Two feelings struggled in him: the fear of being late for an important class—and the horror of seeing this little boy, whose condition was visibly worsening. He thought of his brother, “What if it was my brother and no one helped him?… »

Without hesitating for a second longer, he took a large stone from the floor and hit the window with all his might. The glass shattered and the car’s alarm went off. He cautiously put his hand in and took the crying child out.

A few minutes later, a woman came running — she was the child’s mother. His face was full of tears and terror. The boy quickly explained to him what had happened. The woman, hugging her son, thanked him again and again.

And he, wiping his hands on his shirt, heaved a sigh and went on his way—to school. On the way, he thought only of what he was going to say to his teacher.

As might be expected, the professor greeted him with great indignation:

“Late again!” How many more times will it take? I’ll call your parents!

“But I—” he began to say, but the words stuck in his throat.

“I don’t care what you did outside. How many times have I told you not to arrive late for my class? Sit down, and tomorrow you will come with your parents.

The boy sat down at his desk, but at that moment, something unexpected happened 😱😢

Suddenly, the door to the room opened. The woman in the street entered, accompanied by the director of the school. The woman spoke aloud in front of the whole class:

“This boy saved my son’s life today. I wanted to tell everyone how brave and intelligent he is. Not all children of his age would have had the same reflex…

The class remained silent. The teacher, bewildered, could find nothing to say. The manager approached the boy and handed him a small box. Inside, there was an e-reader.

“You have done the right thing,” said the director. We are all proud of you.

The teacher, pale, looked at the boy and added in a low voice:

“I’m sorry… I didn’t know…

The boy wanted to say something, but at that moment he just felt happy.
