Fans were making the same joke after a mugshot of Johnny Manziel’s mother surfaced online on Sunday afternoon.
Manziel’s mom, Michelle, was reportedly arrested in Kerrville, Texas, after being caught behind the wheel whilst drunk on Saturday night.
According to TMZ Sports, the authorities set bail at $7,500. While the outlet believes the sum has been paid and that Michelle has since been released, police did not confirm as much after they reached out.
“Michelle was being held on $7,500 bail … though it appears that’s been paid and she’s been released from custody. We’ve reached out to local authorities for more information … so far, no word back,” the outlet shared.
TMZ also obtained a mugshot of Michelle Manziel and has shared it online.

Johnny Manziel, who won the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M, saw his NFL career fizzle out not long after being drafted. He lasted just 14 games.
The former quarterback has since admitted to substance abuse, revealing he used Oxycontin and cocaine daily after the NFL season, losing around 40 pounds in the process.
He also shared that he had suicidal thoughts and, at one point, attempted to take his own life. Thankfully, he is now sober.
As for his mother, she did not reply to TMZ’s request for a comment.
