San Francisco 49ers Star Offensive Player Shockingly Announces Retirement /d

Nine-year NFL veteran Jon Feliciano is calling curtains on his career after spending the last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
The 33-year-old offensive lineman took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a lengthy, heartfelt post in which he announced his retirement and thanked all of his teams, coaches, and others who had a positive impact on his career.
“Thankful to have played for 4 great organizations,” he wrote in the caption.

Feliciano was drafted by the Oakland Raiders as the 128th overall pick in 2015 after a college career with Miami. He spent four years with the team, playing in 48 games, 13 of them starts.
Feliciano received the Bill’s Ed Block Courage Award for his sportsmanship and resilience the following season – in which he also made it to the Pro Bowl – and signed a three-year, $17 million extension in 2021. He was released in March 2022.
He went on to play for the New York Giants, signing a one-year deal shortly after his release from Buffalo. Feliciano started 15 games and allowed just three sacks.

Jon Feliciano signed a one-year deal with the Niners in March 2023, joining the team as a backup but eventually becoming a starter in the right guard spot and starting in Super Bowl 58. He re-signed with the team on another one-year contract last March but was plagued by a knee injury that saw him begin the year on the injured reserve.
He was not able to return to playing, spending the entire campaign on the IR.
Despite calling it quits, Jon Feliciano is willing to come back for a playoff run with two of his former teams.
“That being said, Buffalo or SF, I’ll be ready for a playoff run in December if you need me,” he told the teams in the post above.
