Kim Kardashian’s bid to reclaim a sentimental item once belonging to her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., has been denied by O.J. Simpson’s estate. The reality star cum entrepreneur tried to buy a Bible her father gifted O.J. Simpson in 1994, but his estate rejected her offer.

Robert Kardashian Sr., a key member of Simpson’s defense team during the infamous murder trial, gave the Bible to the former NFL star a day after he was arrested. The book contained a personal inscription encouraging Simpson to seek guidance in faith. Following Simpson’s passing last year, his estate is now selling off assets to cover outstanding debts, including this heirloom.

Kardashian reportedly offered $15,000 for the Bible, hoping to reclaim a piece of her father’s history. However, estate executor Malcolm LaVergne turned down the bid, citing legal costs associated with selling it outside of auction.

“The amount is why I had no choice,” LaVergne told The Mirror. “Why would I spend $15,000 in attorney’s fees to sell it for $15,000? That’s a zero-sum game. If Kim had offered $150,000, we would’ve been in court getting this approved.”

The Bible remains up for auction at Goldin Auctions, where Kardashian can still place a bid. Some critics online have questioned her initial low offer, given her billionaire status. It remains unclear if she will increase her bid, but for now, the sentimental item stays out of her reach.
