It appears that new North Carolina Tar Heels football head coach Bill Belichick wants his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, included in the team’s football matters.
Belichick signed a five-year contract to become the new head coach of the Tar Heels. The contract includes a $10 million annual salary and a $1.75 million bonus if he leads the school to a national championship.
Bill Belichick’s contract also includes a $10 million buyout before June 1, though the number drops to $1 million after that date. Of course, the Tar Heels would only buy Belichick out if he wants to return to the NFL.
But there’s more: Matt Hartman of The Assembly received a copy of an email Belichick sent to UNC staff on Dec. 16, asking them to include his girlfriend in all emails sent to him going forward.

The two stayed in communication and began their relationship two years later. Hudson is a former cheerleader who attended Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.
After leaving the New England Patriots in Jan. 2024, Belichick was passed over in the new NFL head coach hiring cycle and took a year away from coaching. He took on several NFL analyst gigs, including a job on Peyton and Eli Manning’s “ManningCast” show at ESPN.

Belichick began his NFL coaching career as an assistant for the Baltimore Colts in 1975 and worked on the pro sidelines every year until 2023. That run, of course, was highlighted by his 24 seasons with the Patriots, which culminated in six Super Bowl championships and nine AFC title banners.
UNC is the first college coaching job of Belichick’s career. Of course, 2025 could also mark his only season at Chapel Hill if Belichick does well enough to the point where he lands another NFL HC gig.
