ANGEL Reese is Kevin Durant’s favorite female athlete.

As part of Women’s Empowerment Month, Phoenix Suns stars were each asked to name their favorite sportswoman ahead of last night’s game with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Several, including Devin Booker, went with Phoenix legend Diana Taurasi, while others said the likes of Serena Williams, Sue Bird and Maya Moore.

Grayson Allen even selected his own wife, former soccer player Morgan Reid Allen.

Durant, meanwhile, went for Chicago Sky star Reese.

The pair know each other, having sat courtside together at a Team USA women’s game in London last July.

At the time, their appearance sparked dating rumors.

Although in September Reese, 22, shut down speculation on her Unapologetically Angel podcast.

“No, that was never a thing,” Reese responded to rumors she was dating the 36-year-old. “I don’t even know how that even became a thing because I sat next to somebody. My friend was sitting next to Steph [Curry]. So… I don’t even get that.”

Reese then admitted that she loved watching Durant while growing up.

“People always… I don’t even know where that came from,” she added. “KD has literally been my favorite player since I was literally a kid. And is still my favorite player.

“I love his mom, she comes out and supports the games. So yeah, that was dead.

Durant selecting Reese as his favorite sparked plenty of online chatter about their potential dating status.

But there is no evidence to substantiate such claims.

The Suns went on to beat the Clippers 119-117 following an incredible 23-point comeback.

Phoenix had trailed by 19 points in the fourth quarter, although an incredible 19 point-burst by Durant in the final 12 minutes helped Mike Budenholzer’s team to victory.

Durant scored 34 points in total, in addition to seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal.

During the contest, the former Golden State Warrior had been involved in a heated confrontation with Budenholzer.

The pair jawed at each other during a timeout, with Durant pushing his coach off after Budenholzer had grabbed his arm.

“That’s what usually happens when you don’t know dynamics of the relationship,” Durant said after the game. “You catch something on TV, you get a quote and now you pushing that narrative as if me and Bud don’t do that s*** all the time.

“We [are] competitive as two individuals who want to see things done the right way, and sometimes my way ain’t the way that Bud want to do it and vice versa.”
