ESPN sportscaster Molly Qerim is known for her energetic and magnetic on-air presence as a host of one of the networks’ hottest shows, but she has also been dealing with a debilitating disease.

In 2018, she opened up about just how hard it can be to do her job after she was diagnosed with Stage IV Endometriosis.

This week, the ESPN personality reminded people about her disease since March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. For those unaware, the disease is a chronic condition where uterine-like tissue grows outside the uterus.

On Instagram, Qerim posted a picture of herself alongside her surgeon, Dr. Masahide Kanayama of the New York Endometriosis Center.

Molly Qerim revealed she has been dealing with endometriosis and recently underwent surgery to treat the issue.
“March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. I really hesitated on posting this, b/c I’m a very private person…but if I can help even 1 person… it’s worth it,” Qerim wrote. “Dr Kanayama, you are an answer to 12 years of prayer. THANK YOU. You are a miracle in my life, and more miracles to come. 🙏And for anyone dealing with a health scare right now, please don’t give up…keep advocating for yourself and know you can be fully restored, regardless of what the medical report says. Better days are ahead.”

Fans quickly took to her comment section and sent prayers:

“Prayers for a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹,” one fan stated.

“Now that’s the kinda Dr I want!! 🙏🏾 praying for you, and thanks for sharing,” a second fan stated.

“Thank you Molly for sharing your story. You are an amazing inspiration to many endometriosis patients and you never give up. I greatly appreciate your spreading endo awareness in this March! God bless you! Dr K,” a third fan said to Molly Qerim.

“Prayers and Isaiah 53:5 for you 🙏🙏🙏,” a fourth fan said while providing a bible scripture.

One final fan added: “God is still in the healing and prayer answering business 🙏🏽❤️.”

Molly Qerim Dealing With Disease That Has No Cure

Endometriosis, a medical condition whereby the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus, affects more than 11 percent of American women between the ages of 15 and 44

Molly Qerim was in her late 20s when she received her diagnosis.

Some symptoms of the health condition include severe pain, bleeding or spotting, infertility, and stomach or digestive problems.

It also makes it very difficult for women to get pregnant.

That might be a reason why Qerim has zero children.

Unfortunately, there is no definitive cure for endometriosis.
