The Chiefs came into Super Bowl 2025 chasing history — but the Eagles refused to be part of it.
Philadelphia thwarted Kansas City’s attempt to win an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl, scoring the first 34 points of the game and making like miserable for Patrick Mahomes en route to a 40-22 score in New Orleans.
For the Eagles, the victory marked a fifth title in franchise history and first since 2017.
From the jump, the Philly defense was all over Mahomes, sacking him six times and picking him off twice — including Cooper DeJean’s first-half pick-six.
Kansas City was kept off the scoreboard until the end of the third quarter, when Mahomes connected with Xavier Worthy for a 24-yard score, but the two-point conversion attempt failed.

On the other side of the ball, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw for an efficient 221 yards on 17-of-22 throws, tossing a pair of touchdowns and an interception, while adding a rushing score of his own.
