Leaving behind a hard-working wife and two young children, the husband used the excuse of going to work far away to change his life. However, after only a few years, he betrayed his wife…
The Wedding Night Turned Into a Nightmare
This year, Thomas Reed turned 40 years old.
In his hometown of Arkansas, he left behind a hard-working wife and two young children, using the excuse of “going to the city to work” to find a chance to change his life.
However, after only a few years, Thomas had a change of heart.

Amidst the flashy lights of Houston, Texas, he fell in love with two twin sisters – Lily and Luna Parker, two 21-year-old girls, owners of a luxurious nail salon, beautiful and radiant like two proud roses in the middle of the city.

Ambition, lust and even complacency made Thomas disregard everything, marrying both girls at the same time, considering it a testament to “the mettle of a Southern American man.”

On the wedding day, the guests from the business world were all amazed.

People called Thomas “the luckiest man in America” – rich, handsome, and with two young, beautiful wives like beauty queens.

He was proud, with only one thought in his mind:

“From now on, my life will turn a new page. I am my own king.”

The wedding room was filled with yellow lights, roses covered the floor, red wine sparkled in crystal glasses.
The two brides – Lily and Luna – wore thin silk dresses, their faces so similar that Thomas was both confused and excited.

He raised his glass, smiling triumphantly:

“Tonight… is the happiest night of my life.”

But when the lights flickered and then went out, leaving only a faint light through the glass window, Thomas suddenly felt a chill down his spine.

Both girls turned their heads to look at him.
Two pairs of eyes were bright, deep, and cold to the point of being terrifying.

Their voices rang out at the same time – identical, long, echoing in the air.

“Brother Thomas…”

The wine glass in his hand shook, the red wine spilling onto the carpet like blood.

He forced a smile, his voice hoarse:

“You… scared me.”

Blood Freezing Words

One of the brides tilted her head, smiling – a smile that made Thomas’s heart clench.

“Happy? Then why did you hide your wife and children in Arkansas?
Why did you leave them and run after us?”

Thomas’s whole body turned cold.
He had never told anyone about his wife and children back home – especially not these two girls.
That sentence was like a knife piercing his heart.

The eyes of the two sisters began to change – no longer as clear and innocent as the first day they met, but covered with a thick layer of dark fog.
At this moment, Thomas suddenly realized… he could no longer tell them apart.

Every strand of hair, every fold of skirt, every smile – all were identical, like two reflections in a mirror.

The Nightmare Begins

The wedding music drifted in from outside, but in the room, only the sound of his heart pounding could be heard.

Thomas backed away, bumping into the door.

The two girls advanced together, their steps overlapping as if programmed.

A cold wind blew through, the candles extinguished.

In the darkness, a pair of voices rang out – as light as a breath but enough to freeze his blood:

“Do you know… who we are?”

Thomas trembled, stammering:

“Lily… Luna… you… are…”

But their laughter rang out – laughter without breath, echoing and distorted, mixed with the wind whistling through the window like someone crying far away.

He collapsed to the floor.

In the dim light from the hallway, Thomas caught a glimpse of an old photo that had fallen out of its frame – a picture of two twin girls, their faces identical to Lily and Luna, taken more than 50 years ago.

The blurred text below made him choke:

“In loving memory of Lily & Luna Parker – died in 1973.”

The Next Morning

Thomas was found collapsed in front of the bridal chamber, his face pale, his mouth still calling out the two girls’ names.
The room was empty, the wedding dress still hung on the chair, and the wine glass was shattered on the floor.

The police investigated for a long time but could not find any trace of the two brides, although the image from the wedding camera showed… Thomas standing alone in the aisle.

To this day, the mansion in Houston where the wedding night took place remains abandoned.
The people around the area say that every year on that day, they hear the giggles of two girls and the panicked voice of a man calling out in the night:

“Lily… Luna… forgive me…”

And people whisper to each other that — sometimes, the price of betrayal is not the loss of love… but the loss of the soul
