Dancing On Ice judge Jayne Torvill reveals she’s to undergo SURGERY after rupturing her bicep tendon as she wears sequinned sling on show
Dancing On Ice judge Jayne Torvill revealed during Sunday’s episode of the show that she had injured her arm while skating.
As props week kicked off on the ITV ice skating competition, professional ice dancer Jayne, 65, was seen with her arm in a sequinned green sling, which matched her glitzy dress.
When asked about the injury by host Phillip Schofield, 60, she said: ‘Talking of things going wrong on the ice, I’ve ruptured my bicep tendon so I’m going to need surgery.’

She added: ‘But I’m fine and will be back on the ice soon.’
Jayne is not the only Dancing On Ice star who has suffered an injury – the famous contestants had a series of falls during rehearsals this week.

Hurt: Dancing On Ice judge Jayne Torvill, 65, revealed during Sunday’s episode of the show that she had injured her arm while skating
Contenders including Carly Stenson, Nile Wilson and Mollie Gallagher all sustained falls on the ice as they geared up for this evening’s show.
While no one suffered any injuries that would force them to pull out of the programme, a source told MailOnline they were all feeling the pressure to turn out a solid performance with the semi-final drawing near.
The insider said: ‘There have been lots of falls this week for the celebs. There haven’t been any serious injuries, just a few bumps but the pressure is really ramping up as everyone gets closer to the semi-final and final.
‘Everyone is determined to give their best performance.’
Doctors star Carley winced in pain as she went down face forward on the rink with her partner Mark Hanretty falling with her.
In one snap from rehearsals, Nile could be seen lying on his back as his professional skating partner Olivia Smart rushed over to check if he was alright.
Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Mollie had to be rescued by her skating partner Sylvain Longchambon after she took a tumble.
Going into tonight’s show, the remaining contestants were Carley, Nile, Mollie, TOWIE star Joey Essex, singer Siva Kaneswaren and Drag Race star The Vivienne.

Comedian Darren Harriott and his partner Tippy Packard were the most recent pair eliminated on last week’s show.
The Wanted star Siva has spoken of his determination to make it to the Dancing On Ice final to honour his late bandmate Tom Parker.
Tom tragically passed away aged 33 last March following a brave battle with brain cancer, after being diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in October 2020.
Siva said if he makes it to the final, he hopes to do something special in memory of Tom by performing to one of their songs.
He also discussed how he plans to invite Tom’s widow Kelsey and her two children.
Siva said: ‘If I can make it to the final, I’d love to do something special for Tom, maybe use one of our songs and invite Kelsey and the kids.’

Siva also touched on how special it would be for Tom’s kids to see their dad on screen again.
‘It’s about making more positive memories. For me, they are like my niece and nephew. You want to make good memories with them. I’d love to have them down to hear our song, maybe see their daddy on screen again,’ he told the Mirror.
Siva added Tom is his ‘guiding light’ that he turns to when times are tough and claims he always feels his presence.
Tom died in March 2022 after a year-and-a-half-long battle with stage four glioblastoma brain cancer.
