Dancing on Ice fans think Christopher Dean let an F-bomb slip
Exactly which word came out of his mouth at that moment isn’t clear, though.
What did you miss?
Dancing on Ice judge Christopher Dean may well have dropped an F-bomb during Sunday, 2 March’s semi-final on ITV1.
The ice-skating king was finishing off the scoring for Coronation Street actor Sam Aston and his professional partner Molly Lanaghan at the time and had to be reminded by commentator Alex Crook that on this occasion he needed to provide a ‘solo performance’ score too.
A number of viewers logged onto social media believe a rather flustered Dean let slip an expletive as a result.
What, how and why?
The scoring began with Ashley Banjo, who gave Aston and Lanaghan a maximum of 10. Only Jayne Torvill scored below 10 in the end (9.5), with both Oti Mabuse and Dean sitting in agreement with Banjo.
“And for the solo challenge…” initiated Crook from his box. Cue silence from Dean, mixed with the continued celebrations from audience members.
“AND FOR THE SOLO CHALLENGE…” the commentator repeated.
It’s unclear exactly what he said, but giving him the benefit of the doubt, Dean replied: “Oh yeah flipping heck! I forgot to put that in hadn’t I! 9.”
Some fans watching at home weren’t convinced though.
“Did Christopher Dean say f****** hell or flipping hell [two cry-laughing emojis],” wrote one of them on X.
“Did Chris just go F****** Heck,” read another reaction.
Who made it through to the grand final?
This week’s semi-final concluded with Dan Edgar and Vanessa James being voted out of the competition.
“D’ya know what, I’ve had an amazing experience. I’m very grateful for it and I feel like we’ve done our best tonight, so I’ll walk away with my head held high,” TOWIE star Edgar told presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern.
Michaela Strachan and Mark Hanretty, Anton Ferdinand and Annette Dytrt, and Aston and Lanaghan will compete for the ultimate ice-skating bragging rights in next weekend’s big finale.
