“OUR LAST DANCE” – TORVILL & DEAN SAY FAREWELL TO THE ICE Rink WITH AN EMOTIONAL PERFORMANCE AT OVO ARENA WEMBLEY
On the evening of April 11, 2025, at OVO Arena Wembley, thousands of spectators witnessed a historic moment: Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – the legendary pair of British figure skating – officially began their farewell tour called “Our Last Dance” , marking 50 years of collaboration and dedication to the art of skating .
The journey from Nottingham to Wembley
Torvill & Dean first met at the Nottingham ice rink as teenagers and have since conquered great heights together, culminating in their performance of “Boléro” at the 1984 Winter Olympics, where they won gold with a perfect score, becoming immortal icons of the sport .
Emotional farewell performance
At Wembley, the duo recreated memorable moments from their career, from classical dances to modern repertoire, combined with a talented young cast. Despite being in their 60s, Torvill & Dean still showed grace and sophistication in every move, leaving the audience moved .
