Dancing On Ice judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean kick off farewell tour with show-stopping performance at London’s Wembley Arena
Dancing on Ice judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean delivered a show-stopping performance on Saturday as they kicked off their farewell tour at London’s Wembley OVO Arena.
Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance is a final UK tour by the iconic ice skating duo, marking 50 years of partnership and will be the last time they perform together on ice.
And on Saturday, Jayne, 67, looked stunning as she took to the ice, showcasing her expert skating skills in a breathtaking purple ombre costume.
Flaunting her long, toned legs, the former competitor glided gracefully along the ice in a pair of white skates, joined by her skating partner, Christopher, 66.
For the performance, Jayne styled her blonde hair in an elegant bun and opted for a glamorous makeup look.
Meanwhile, Christopher complemented her in a silk purple button-up shirt and tailored trousers.

The duo opened the show with a dazzling new routine set to The Greatest Showman and were joined on the ice by a cast of world-class skaters.
For their next number, Jayne turned heads in a shimmering silver-and-white costume with a V-neckline, diamante embellishments, and a floaty skirt.
Christopher, meanwhile, looked sharp in a smart white tuxedo paired with black tailored trousers as he spun Jayne effortlessly across the ice.
The iconic duo, who began their partnership in 1975, couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they delivered an unforgettable performance for the audience.
Later in the evening, Jayne cut a glamorous figure in a silver and bronze sequin-embellished off-the-shoulder dress as she and Christopher proudly held up a trophy.
Their farewell tour, Torvill and Dean: Our Last Dance, will run from April 12 to May 11, 2025, with dates in London, Belfast, Newcastle, and Glasgow.
On Valentine’s Day in 1984, they skated to victory at the Sarajevo Winter Olympics, winning the gold medal and earning the highest-ever score for a single performance.
Now, 41 years later, Jayne and Christopher are hanging up their skates for good, as they announced their retirement last year.

Dean said the pair had agreed it was the ‘right time’ to stop skating, acknowledging, ‘We’re not spring chickens anymore’ and that they want to retire while they’re still able to perform ‘to a certain degree.’
The pair became international stars after receiving 12 perfect 6’s while skating to Maurice Ravel’s Boléro at the Zetra Olympic Hall in Sarajevo, prompting a standing ovation.
The performance was watched by 24 million people in the UK, and one month later, they received an even better score at the World Championships.
Discussing the timing of their retirement, Dean said: ‘I think there comes a time when you know.
‘We’re not spring chickens anymore but we’re still able to do it to a certain degree that we feel good about it but that will go.
‘So, I think this is the right time for us to be able to do that and go and skate and do some of the old routines, be very nostalgic, but then do some new fun, upbeat (dances) with friends of ours from the skating world and from Dancing On Ice.’
He also said they see the tour as a ‘celebration,’ but acknowledged that they will likely feel emotional as their final skate approaches.

He said: ‘We’ll have a sense of pride as well, I think, of what we’ve done and still been able to do over the years, bringing competitive skating and competitions and then entertainment through the TV screen,
‘I think we’ll get reflective and look at it not in a sad way but in a happy way.’
Following the end of their competitive career, Jayne and Christopher started coaching and choreographing and regularly toured, before becoming the faces of ITV’s reality show Dancing on Ice in 2006.
The show went on hiatus in 2014 and was revived in 2018, with them returning as head judges.
Last year, the show aired a special commemorative tribute to their 1984 gold medal-winning performance.
‘That was really a launching pad of then going off to do other things,’ they said of their beloved 1984 routine.
‘Touring around the world, skating in front of hundreds of thousands of people and then Dancing On Ice starting up because of winning the Olympics.’
