‘Mine isn’t’ Torvill hits back at Dean over claims ‘bodies are different’

The Dancing On Ice stalwarts were appearing on BBC Breakfast this morning when the awkward moment happened.

Jayne, 60, and Christopher, 59, sat down with Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt to talk about their careers.

The duo were discussing performing together again when Christopher made a shocking gaffe that Jayne and Naga, 42, took umbrage with.

“The bodies [his and Jayne’s] are a little bit different from what they were,” he said.

How dare you imply otherwise

Jayne looked taken aback at the implication and retorted: “Mine isn’t, mine’s fine.”

“No, yours isn’t. Of course not,” Christopher replied as he attempted to backtrack. “You’re thinner and slimmer now!”

Naga then chimed in: “How dare you imply otherwise!”

However, it was clear all parties found the moment hilarious as they burst into laughter at the incident and moved on to other matters.

The two were on the BBC news programme to discus their return to the ice after years away from skating together.

“We haven’t performed together on the ice for about three or four years now, since our last Dancing On Ice tour,” Jayne told the presenters.

Christopher also revealed that being with Jane again did take some getting use to after such a long break.

He said: “Three days was hell, then after that it was like, ahh, I remember you.”
