I loved him with all my heart. We met by chance in a café when he mixed up my order with his. He was kind, caring, attentive — since then every day with him felt like a celebration. I dreamed of marrying him, introducing him to my parents, and starting a family.

It hurt, but I held on — because he was by my side.

He stood up. At first, heavily, leaning, unsure. But step by step, holding onto his brother, he came toward me.
— I promised I would do this for you. At least once — by myself, — he whispered, holding back tears. — Because you believed in me when no one else did.
Everyone in the room cried. I fell to my knees before him and hugged him like never before.
