A MAN MISSED HIS JOB INTERVIEW FOR HELPING A PREGNANT WOMAN — AND HE WAS FINALLY SURPRISED TO FIND OUT WHO THE WOMAN HE

HAD HELPED WAS Adrian. Adrian woke up early, wearing the long sleeves he borrowed from his cousin. Today was the day of his final job interview at a well-known company—an opportunity he had long dreamed of. He had been out of work for seven months and was just relying on what racket he had. He was carrying a folder of resumé and slowly walked out of the house.

While riding the jeep to the terminal, his heart was beating fast with nervousness and excitement. “That’s it,” he muttered to himself. “It’s for my mom and my brothers.”

When he got off the highway, he had to wait about 15 minutes for the bus to the city. But he was stopped by the sight of a pregnant woman on the side of the road—clutching her stomach, pale, and trembling.

Adrian came over right away.
“Miss, are you all right?” he asked.

The woman gasped for air. “Brother… It hurts… Looks like the baby is coming out… “I don’t have any friends,”

Adrian said nervously. He looked at the time—an hour before the interview. But he knew he couldn’t leave as if he hadn’t seen anything.

“I’ll help you. Is there anything you can call?”
“W-no… “I’m just…”

He quickly grabbed a tricycle and helped the woman. They were on their way to the nearest lying-in clinic, and he was nervous about the woman and the time almost at the same time.

“Come on, Miss, just be careful.”

When they arrived, the nurses greeted the pregnant woman and took care of her immediately. Adrian was left outside, sweaty and dizzy, but not leaving.

He texted HR, apologizing for being late. There was no answer.

A short time later, the nurse came out. “Sir, thank you, the patient said. You were the only one who stopped to help.”

Adrian smiled, but he was obviously sad. “It’s okay. He’s just safe.”

She was about to leave the hospital when she heard a soft voice from inside.
“Wait a minute,”

he approached. The woman was already in bed, breathing better.

“I don’t have anything to say,” he said, “but thank you. I can’t forget that.”

Adrian smiled. “That’s not a problem. Be careful.”

He went out and sat down in the waiting shed. He wasn’t sure if he had lost his chance or not, but there was peace within him.

The next day, someone knocked on their house. A man in a black coat was outside.

“Are you Mr. Adrian?”

“Yes,” he replied in surprise.

“You are invited by the Chairman of the SilverCore Corporation. A car is waiting.”

He frowned. “SilverCore? “That’s the company I was supposed to have an interview with yesterday…”

the man nodded. “Yes. Come along.”

In the office, he could hardly breathe with the beauty and size ofPlace. A few moments later, a woman in a corporate suit—elegant, self-assured, and obviously respectful.

Adrian paused.

She was the pregnant woman he had helped with yesterday—but now well-groomed, smiling, and obviously of high office.

“Good morning, Adrian,” the woman said. “I’m Serena Alday, CEO of SilverCore. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you the truth right away. I gave birth prematurely, but my baby is stable now.”

Adrian could hardly speak.

“I read your message yesterday,” Serena continued. “And I know why you didn’t come. You helped someone you didn’t know—even if it was your chance.”

She looked straight at Adrian.

“Adrian Santos… you don’t have to do an interview. Starting today, you’ll be my company’s new Operations Coordinator—full-time, with benefits, and a signing bonus.”
Tears
welled up in her eyes. “Ma’am… Is this serious?”

Serena smiled. “Yes. And there’s another one. I’ll give you a scholarship while you work here. I’ve seen your heart, and people like you are the ones I want to be with.”
Adrian
couldn’t hold back his tears.

“Thank you very much… I don’t know how to repay
.”
“You’ve done enough,” Serena replied. “Not all good deeds have to be rewarded—but sometimes, there is a reward in store.”

When he got home, his mother met him.

“Son… why is there such a cheap car outside? And why do you have a coat?”

Adrian smiled broadly.
“Mom, I have a story… but let’s have a good meal first.”

And for the first time in a long time, they ate as a family with joy, hope, and a fresh start.

In Adrian’s mind, the lesson was clear:
When you help without waiting, fate always has a way to give it back at the best possible time.
