Harry is disillusioned with returning to the royal family

Despite a brief reunion with his father, Harry is said to never be allowed to be a ‘part-time member’ of the royal family, as King Charles III still upholds the late Queen’s decision.

During the 4-day trip to England, Harry was given nearly an hour to drink private tea with King Charles III. The 41-year-old prince showed his father photos and videos of his two grandchildren, including Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Harry hopes to find a “new model” that reconciles life in the US with Meghan and her children with continuing to perform some royal duties. However, a palace source insists this is impossible: “There is no room for a half-inside, half-outer style in the royal family.”

Some people close to the royal family have also criticized Sussexes’ attempts to paint the trip as a step toward reintegration. “If you want to rebuild trust, these kinds of ‘honey revelations’ are counterproductive,” another source said.

Harry and Meghan announced their departure from their roles as senior members of the royal family in 2020 and now live in Montecito, California. When he left, Harry had repeatedly expressed his desire to be a member of the royal family, free to earn money and be independent in life. However, Queen Elizabeth II at that time firmly refused this request.

Now, after years of prolonged conflicts, the Duke of Sussex has expressed his desire to bring his family back to the UK. Recently, he shared with singer Joss Stone that “the community and schools in England are great for young children”.

Meanwhile, King Charles III and Prince William are said to be strengthening the royal family’s image of cohesion and strength, despite the absence of Harry. The image of royal unity was clearly shown by them during President Trump’s recent state visit to the UK.
